Trusted by the Courts, Ready to Lead
What makes me want to serve as District Clerk is simple: I believe this is exactly where I am supposed to be. I know that in public life, many elected officials look at their role as a step toward something else. That has never been my goal. This is not a stepping stone for me. This is my stop. This is the place I want to dedicate myself to, for as long as I am meant to be here, working every day to improve how our office serves the public.
As Chief Deputy Clerk, I have already had the privilege of helping modernize and improve the District Clerk’s Office, making it more efficient, transparent, and accessible. I’ve seen the difference innovation and leadership can make—not only in saving taxpayer dollars but also in making the justice system more responsive to the people it serves. That work is deeply fulfilling to me, and it motivates me to continue building on the progress we’ve made.
In short, I want to be District Clerk because I love this work, I love this community, and I believe I have the experience, vision, and dedication to continue moving our office forward. Serving as your District Clerk would not be just an honor—it would be the fulfillment of where I truly believe I am meant to serve.
I absolutely love my job. Every morning when I wake up, I know I get to go to the courthouse and do my part to keep the wheels of justice moving for the people of McLennan County. To me, this is not just a job—it is a calling. The District Clerk’s Office is where my skills, my experiences, and my heart for service all come together, and it’s where I know I am meant to be.
One of the greatest joys of this role is the people I work alongside. I love my staff. I understand that without them, our system comes to a stop. They are the lifeblood of the office, and I am deeply committed to supporting them so they can succeed in serving the public with professionalism, accuracy, and care. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to build a team that is not only capable but also innovative, compassionate, and dedicated to getting the job done right. Watching them grow and excel has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
I also love the relationships I’ve built in and around the courthouse. Judges, attorneys, clerks, and community members—I’ve seen how each plays a vital role in ensuring our justice system works fairly and efficiently. These relationships aren’t just professional; they are built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to serving the people of McLennan County.
